Asus ZenFone 6Z with Snapdragon 855 Spotted on Geekbench

Last year, Asus had launched the ZenFone 5 with Snapdragon 636 and the ZenFone 5Z with Snapdragon 845. Hence, it is like the ZenFone 6 could end up as a mid-range phone and there could be a successor edition for the ZenFone 5Z. Today, an Asus phone with model number ASUS_I01WD has appeared on Geekbench with flagship specs. Probably, it could be hitting the market as the ZenFone 6Z.

The alleged ZenFone 6Z is fueled by the Snapdragon 855 mobile platform and 6 GB of RAM. The Android 9 Pie OS comes loaded on the device. In the single-core test of Geekbench, it has scored 3,527 and it has recorded a score of 11,190 in the multi-core test. The benchmarking scores of the ZenFone 6Z are quite impressive.

The Asus_I01WD model was recently approved by the Wi-Fi certification named Wi-Fi Alliance. Also, it has been certified by the National Communications Commission (NCC) in Taiwan.

Asus has confirmed that it will be holding an unveil event on May 16. The launch event will be used to announce the ZenFone 6 series. Probably, the Snapdragon 855 powered ZenFone 6Z may also go official on the said date. The handset is expected to arrive with an in-display fingerprint reader and a triple camera module.
