How to root Coolpad Halo F1 tutorial

How to root Coolpad Halo F1The Coolpad Halo F1 is a high-end Android smartphone announced back in January this year. The Coolpad Halo F1 is also one of the first Android smartphone to be running on a octa-core proccesor. Although the device is packed with all high-end features, it is available for just $169 – one of the cheapest octa-core powered smartphone in the market. If you happen to own one of this device and wants to root it, then you’re at the right place! In this tutorial, I will be guiding you on how to root Coolpad Halo F1 using Framaroot.

Disclaimer : During the process of rooting, there is always a risk for you to brick your Android device. So if you choose to root your device, you are doing it at your own risk! Your device warranty will also be voided after rooting.

Prerequisites before you begin rooting Coolpad Halo F1

  1. Download the Framaroot apk to your PC.
  2. Make sure you have installed the device driver on your PC.
  3. Make sure there is at least 80% battery remaining in your device.
  4. Go to Settings > Security > Make sure you have checked on the Unknown Sources checkbox.
  5. Back up the Coolpad Halo F1.

Follow the steps below on how to root Coolpad Halo F1

  1. Connect the Coolpad Halo F1 to your PC.
  2. Copy and paste the Framaroot apk (which you have downloaded earlier) from your PC over to the root of your device’s SD card.
  3. Open the file explorer app ( if you don’t have one on your device, then you may want to download either Astro File Manager / ES File Explorer ) and install the Framaroot apk by tapping on its icon.
  4. Open the Framaroot app from your app drawer.
  5. select install Superuser in Framaroot to root Coolpad Halo F1On the app, select the Install Superuser option under the Select an action to execute after root section as shown above.
  6. In the next section, you will select the Boromir exploit ( You can try Faramir or Barahir exploit if Boromir doesn’t work ) under the Select an exploit section.
  7. success pop up in FramarootIf nothing goes wrong, you should see a similar pop-up as the one above on your device.
  8. Reboot your device.
  9. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted Coolpad Halo F1!
