How to root Gigabyte GSmart Aku A1

The Gigabyte GSmart Aku A1 is a mid-range Android smartphone released by Gigabyte back in August last year. The device comes with a 4.5 inches display, running on the Android 4.2 OS. Under the hood is a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB RAM. Like most other Android smartphones, you can root Gigabyte GSmart Aku A1 rather easily using Framaroot – a one-click-root app for Android devices. In the following tutorial, I will be showing you guys how to root Gigabyte GSmart Aku A1 in less than an hour.

Prerequisites before you begin rooting Gigabyte GSmart Aku A1

  1. Download the Framaroot apk to your PC.
  2. Install the necessary device driver on your PC.
  3. Make sure you have at least 60% battery remaining on the Gigabyte GSmart Aku A1 smartphone.
  4. Go to Settings > Security > Make sure you have checked on the Unknown Sources checkbox.
  5. Back up the Gigabyte GSmart Aku A1.

Follow the steps below on how to root Gigabyte GSmart Aku A1

  1. Connect the Gigabyte GSmart Aku A1 to your PC.
  2. Copy the Framaroot apk from your PC to your device’s SD card.
  3. Open the file explorer app ( if you don’t have one on your device, then you may want to download either Astro File Manager / ES File Explorer ) and install the Framaroot apk by tapping on its icon.
  4. Got to your app drawer and open the Framaroot app.

  6. Next up, select either Boromir or Faramir exploit to root Gigabyte GSmart Aku A1.

  8. Reboot your device.
