How to root Hyundai M8 tablet using the Framaroot app

How to root Hyundai M8The Hyundai M8 is the latest Android tablet released by the Korean manufacturer back in June this year. The Hyundai M8 is a mid-range tablet rocking a 7.9″ IPS display powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core chipset along with 1GB of RAM. Other key specs include a 5MP main camera, 0.3MP front camera, 8GB onboard storage, microSD slot, 4,000mAh battery as well as Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean running out of the box.

Like most other Hyundai tablets, we can root Hyundai M8 rather easily using the Framaroot program as well. In the following tutorial, I will be guiding you guys on how to root Hyundai M8 in less than an hour!

Disclaimer : During the process of rooting, there is always a risk for you to brick your Android device. So if you choose to root your device, you are doing it at your own risk! Your device warranty will also be voided after rooting.

Prerequisites before you begin rooting Hyundai M8

  1. Download the Framaroot apk to your PC.
  2. Make sure you have downloaded and installed the necessary USB driver on your PC.
  3. Make sure there is at least 50% battery remaining on your Hyundai M8 tablet.
  4. Go to Settings > Security > Make sure you have checked on the Unknown Sources checkbox.
  5. Back up the Hyundai M8 tablet.

Follow the steps below on how to root Hyundai M8

  1. Connect the Hyundai M8 tablet to your PC using an appropriate USB cable.
  2. Copy the Framaroot apk from your PC to your tablet’s SD card.
  3. Open the file explorer app ( if you don’t have one on your device, then you may want to download either Astro File Manager / ES File Explorer ) and install the Framaroot apk by tapping on its icon.
  4. Open the Framaroot app on your Hyundai M8 tablet and you should be able to see a screen like the one below.
  5. select install Superuser in Framaroot to root Hyundai M8From the Framaroot app, select the Install Superuser option under the Select an action to execute after root section as shown above.
  6. In the next section, choose the Boromir exploit to root Hyundai M8.
  7. success pop up in FramarootYou should be able to see a pop-up like the one above once the program has rooted your tablet. The process normally takes less than a minute to complete.
  8. Finally, reboot your Hyundai M8 tablet immediately.
  9. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted Hyundai M8!
