How to root Jiayu G4C using the vroot program

How to root Jiayu G4CThe Jiayu G4C is a mid-range Android smartphone released by Chinese manufacturer Jiayu back in March this year. The device comes with a decent specs sheet which include a 4.7-inch IPS display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 13MP rear camera, 3MP front camera, 4GB internal storage, microSD slot, 3,000mAh battery, as well as Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean running in the background.

Like many other Chinese smartphones, its very easy for us to root Jiayu G4C as well. In the following tutorial, I will be guiding you guys on how to root Jiayu G4C using the vroot program.

Disclaimer : During the process of rooting, there is always a risk for you to brick your Android device. So if you choose to root your device, you are doing it at your own risk! Your device warranty will also be voided after rooting.

Prerequisites before you begin rooting Jiayu G4C

  1. Download the vroot program to your PC.
  2. Make sure you have installed the necessary device driver before moving on.
  3. Make sure you have enabled USB Debugging from your device’s settings.
  4. Make sure there is more than 50% battery remaining on your Jiayu G4C smartphone.
  5. Back up your Jiayu G4C smartphone.

Follow the steps below on how to root Jiayu G4C

  1. Install vroot on your PC by double-clicking on its icon and follow the onscreen instructions.
  2. Connect the Jiayu G4C to your PC using an appropriate USB cable.
  3. Next, ensure that your PC is able to detect your device before you move on with the rest of the steps.
  4. use vroot to root Jiayu G4COpen the vroot program on your PC and you should be able to see a screen like the one below.
  5. On the vroot program, click on the ROOT button ( Green button ) to begin rooting Jiayu G4C.
  6. The rooting process will take only a few minutes to complete.
  7. You’ll be prompted by the program once it has rooted your device.
  8. The device will then automatically reboot itself.
  9. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted Jiayu G4C!
