How to root Mstar S700 in less than an hour

How to root Mstar S700The Mstar S700 is a mid-range Android smartphone released by Chinese manufacturer Mstar back in March this year. The Mstar S700 rocks a decent 5.5″ HD display, powered by a 1.7GHz 8-core chipset along with 2GB of RAM. Other key specs which come along with the device include a 16GB internal storage, microSD slot, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, 3,000mAh removable battery as well as Android 5.0 running out of the box.

Like most other Android tablets, we can root Mstar S700 rather easily as well. In the following tutorial, I will be guiding you guys on how to root Mstar S700 using the Framaroot app.

Disclaimer : During the process of rooting, there is always a risk for you to brick your Android device. So if you choose to root your device, you are doing it at your own risk!

Prerequisites before you begin rooting Mstar S700

  1. Download the Framaroot apk to your PC.
  2. Make sure you have downloaded and installed the required driver on your PC.
  3. Make sure there is at least 80% battery left on your smartphone before begin rooting your device.
  4. Go to Settings > Security > Make sure you have checked on the Unknown Sources checkbox.
  5. Back up the Mstar S700.

Follow the steps below on how to root Mstar S700

  1. Connect the Mstar S700 to your PC using an appropriate USB cable.
  2. Copy and paste the Framaroot apk from your PC over to the root of your device’s SD card.
  3. Open the file explorer app ( if you don’t have one on your device, then you may want to download either Astro File Manager / ES File Explorer ) and install the Framaroot apk by tapping on its icon.
  4. Open the Framaroot app on your Mstar S700 smartphone.
  5. select install Superuser in Framaroot to root How to root Mstar S700From the Framaroot app, select Install Superuser under the Select an action to execute after root section.
  6. From the Select an exploit section, select the Sam exploit. ( You can try Frodo or Aragorn exploit if Boromir doesn’t work ).

  8. Reboot your device.
  9. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted Mstar S700!

I have a S700 and I followed the given procedure but Framaroot does not work with the S700

Hi, I also have a Mstar S700 and I am not able to root it using framaroot because it does not seem to be vulnerable to any exploit included

Hi , I also have a S700 Mstar and software framaroot 1.9.3 does not. I have an error message : Your device is not vunerable to the exploits included in Framasoft .
Do you have a solution.
