How to root the Karbonn S9 TitaniumThe Karbonn S9 Titanium was released back in July last year, spotting a 5.5-inch 720p display powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Mediatek chipset. Coming with a price tag of just RS. 16,000, the Karbonn S9 Titanium is one of the most affordable phablet available in the Indian market. Having such a wonderful phablet will be a waste if you do not root the device. Rooting will enable you to install custom ROMs and other root-only apps to further customise your Android smartphone. In this tutorial, we will be showing you how to root Karbonn S9 Titanium.

Prerequisites before you begin rooting Karbonn S9 Titanium

 

  1. Download the device’s driver and have it installed on your PC.
  2. Download the Mtk 6589 rooting kit.
  3. Enable USB Debugging from your device settings.
  4. Back up your device.

 

Follow the steps below on how to root Karbonn S9 Titanium

 

  1. Connect the Karbonn S9 Titanium to your PC.
  2. Extract the Mtk 6589 rooting kit to a folder on your desktop.
  3. From the extracted folder, run the run.bat file by double-clicking on its icon.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions.
  5. Once done, reboot your device.
  6. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted Karbonn S9 Titanium.
