How to root Xolo Q800 X-Edition using Framaroot

How to root Xolo Q800 X-EditionThe Xolo Q800 X-Edition is a mid-range Android smartphone released back in February last year by Xolo. The Xolo Q800 X-Edition comes with a 4.5 inches qHD display powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB RAM. Prerequisites before you begin rooting Xolo Q800 X-Edition

  1. Download the Framaroot apk to your PC.
  2. Make sure you have installed the necessary device driver on your PC.
  3. Make sure there is at least 50% battery left on your device.
  4. Go to Settings > Security > Make sure you have checked on the Unknown Sources checkbox.
  5. Back up the Xolo Q800 X-Edition.

Follow the steps below on how to root Xolo Q800 X-Edition

  1. Connect the Xolo Q800 X-Edition to your PC using a USB cable.
  2. Copy the Framaroot apk from your PC to your device’s SD card.
  3. Open the file explorer app ( if you don’t have one on your device, then you may want to download either Astro File Manager / ES File Explorer ) and install the Framaroot apk by tapping on its icon.
  4. Launch the Framaroot app on your Xolo Q800 X-Edition.
  5. select install Superuser in Framaroot to root Xolo Q800 X-EditionFrom the Framaroot app, select the Install Superuser option under the Select an action to execute after root section as shown above.
  6. In the following section, choose the Boromir exploit to root Xolo Q800 X-Edition.
  7. success pop up in FramarootOnce the app has rooted your device, you should see a pop-up similar to the one above on your screen.
  8. Reboot your device.
  9. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted Xolo Q800 X-Edition!
