The ZTE Blade S6 is a mid-range Android smartphone released by Chinese mobile manufacturer ZTE back in June this year. The ZTE Blade S6 rocks a decent 5″ HD IPS display powered by a 8-cores Snapdragon 615 SoC and 2GB RAM. Other key features which come along with the device include a 16GB internal storage, microSD slot, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing shooter, 2,400mAh battery as well as Android 5.0.1 Lollipop running out of the box.

Whatever it is, we can still root ZTE Blade S6 rather easily thanks to the Towelroot program. In the following tutorial, I will be guiding you guys on how to root ZTE Blade S6 in less than an hour.

Prerequisites before you begin rooting ZTE Blade S6

  1. Download the Towelroot apk to your PC.
  2. Make sure you have downloaded and installed the necessary USB driver on your PC.
  3. Go to Settings > Security > Make sure you have checked on the Unknown Sources checkbox.
  4. Back up the ZTE Blade S6 smartphone to your Google account.

Follow the steps below on how to root ZTE Blade S6

  1. Connect your to your PC using an appropriate USB cable.
  2. Copy the Towelroot apk from your PC to your device’s SD card.
  3. Open the file explorer app ( if you don’t have one on your device, then you may want to download either Astro File Manager / ES File Explorer ) and install the Towelroot apk by tapping on its icon.
  4. Open the Towelroot app and tap on the “Make it ra1n” button to begin rooting your device.
  5. After awhile your device should reboot itself.
  6. Now, head down to the Play store and install the SuperSU app for your device.
  7. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted ZTE Blade S6!
