iQOO Pro 5G to Debut in August

In June, Vivo had confirmed that it will be launching the 5G version of iQOO gaming phone as its first 5G phone. Today, iQOO has officially confirmed that it will be debuting the iQOO Pro 5G smartphone in August. It will be fueled by Snapdragon 855+ mobile platform that was recently made official.

The SD855+ designed to offer better gaming experience was introduced on the ASUS ROG Phone 2. It also powers the Black Shark 2 Pro smartphone. The iQOO Pro 5G phone arriving next month is the third phone to feature it. The SD855+ is an overclocked version of the 2.84GHz SD855 SoC. that powers the original Vivo iQOO phone. The SD855+ with improved CPU and GPU performance clocks at 2.96GHz.

There is no confirmation on the specifications of the iQOO Pro 5G phone. Since it is a Pro version of the iQOO gaming phone that was announced in April in China, it may come with identical specs. The Vivo V1916A 5G smartphone that was recently spotted with 44W charger on the database of China’s 3C authority seems to be the upcoming iQOO Pro 5G smartphone.
