Latest Xperia update brings Apps to SD card support

App to SD card support on Xperia T Ultra

If you happen to own a Xperia T2 Ultra smartphone, you should had already updated your device to the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware yesterday.

One of the main highlight of this update is that it finally enable the Apps to SD card feature on the device, which was originally unavailable. Now, you can finally move any of your apps (preferably those which comes with hefty file size) to the SD card by going to Settings > Apps > Select your app from the list > Tap on the Move to SD card option.

No doubt, this will be an important feature for lower-end Xperia devices which comes with less than 8GB storage onboard. From what we know, Sony will be pushing out the KitKat update to the Xperia E1 and Xperia M2 handsets by the end of this month – but we’re still not sure whether this feature will be available to them as well.
