Last year in August, Meizu had launched the Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus smartphones in China. An upgraded version of the Meizu 16 was introduced with Meizu 16s moniker in April this year. However, an upgraded edition for the Meizu 16 Plus wasn’t made official. A new smartphone named Meizu 16s Pro has appeared on Chinese popular Taobao retailer site. Hence, it appears that the upgraded Meizu 16 Plus will be hitting the Chinese markets as Meizu 16s Pro.
The image of the Meizu 16s Pro that can be seen on Taobao suggests that the front side of the phone will be remain almost unchanged compared to the Meizu 16s Plus. The handset can be seen sporting super-slim bezel with a selfie camera planted inside it.
The Meizu 16s sported a dual camera setup, but the newly spotted Meizu 16s Pro can be seen sporting a triple camera setup. After the mid-range Meizu 16Xs smartphone that was announced in May in China, the Meizu 16s Pro will be second phone from the company to arrive with triple rear cameras. No information of the specs of the phone are available yet. However, it is very likely to arrive as Snapdragon 855 chipset powered flagship phone. The listing of the phone on Tabao states that the Meizu 16s Pro has been available for reservations from July 3 and the company will be holding a launch event for it in August.
