Meizu 16s with Snapdragon 855 and 48MP Dual Camera Launched for 3,198 Yuan

The Meizu 16s was finally made official yesterday through a launch event in China. It is the first Snapdragon 855 powered smartphone from the company. The smartphone is blessed with 48-megapixel dual rear cameras and offers an impressive screen-to-body ratio. Here is all the information on the specifications, features and pricing of the Meizu 16s smartphone.

Meizu 16s Specifications and Features

The Meizu 16s comes with a 6.2-inch AMOLED display with symmetrical slim-sized top and bottom bezels. The smartphone offers a screen-to-body ratio of 91.53 percent. The display produces full HD+ resolution and it comes features like DC dimming, blue light filer and DCI-P3 color gamut.

The top bezel houses the world’s smallest 20-megapixel Samsung 3T2 lens.  It is equipped with features like AI beauty, HDR+ and ArcSoft algorithm for optimized selfie shots. The back panel of the phone features 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 + 20-megmapixel Sony IMX350 AI dual camera setup with features like 4-axis OIS, ring LED flash, AI scene recognition, portrait mode and super night scene mode.

The Snapdragon 855 SoC powers the smartphone along with 6 GB / 8 GB RAM of DDR4X RAM. It comes with 128 GB / 256 GB storage. The smartphone is packed with a 3,600mAh battery that supports 24W mCharger. The Flyme 7.3 based Android 9 Pie OS comes preinstalled on the device. There is a Hyper Gaming mode for smoother gaming experience. For tactile feedback, the display of the phone is equipped with mEngine 3.0 vibration motor.

Meizu 16s Price and Release Date

The Meizu 16s will be hitting the Chinese markets with three color variants such as Carbon Black, Pearl White and Phantom Blue. The 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage models are respectively priced at 3,198 Yuan and 3,998 Yuan. The pre-orders of the phone have started and its sales will begin in China on April 28.
