The Meizu 16X has been announced in China as the third Meizu 16 series smartphone after the Meizu 16 and 16 Plus phones that were unveiled in the previous month. The Meizu 16X along with the newly announced Meizu 8X are the first phones from the company to come equipped with Snapdragon 710. The other attractive feature of the Meizu 16X is the inclusion of in-display fingerprint reader.
Meizu 16X Specifications, Features and Pricing
The Meizu 16X has arrived with a 6-inch AMOLED screen. The display offers an aspect ratio of 18:9 along with Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Below the AMOLED screen is the in-display fingerprint scanner.
The Snapdragon 710 SoC powers the phone and it features 3,100mAh battery to keep the lights on. The handset includes support for fast charging. The 64 GB storage model features 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage variant is also equipped with 6 GB of RAM.
The back panel of the Meizu 16X features 12-megapixel Sony IMX380 + 20-megapixel Sony IMX350 dual camera system that is available on the Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus smartphones. The Meizu 16X also lends the 20-megapixel selfie camera from the Meizu 16 duo.
The 64 GB and 128 GB Meizu 16X variants are respectively priced at 2,098 Yuan ($306) and 2,398 Yuan ($350). Its color variants are black, gold and white. Meizu’s official store will begins its sales from Sept. 26.
