Apart from launching the Snapdragon 710 powered Meizu 16X and Meizu X8 smartphones with, Meizu also unveiled the Meizu V8 and Meizu V8 Pro smartphones at the launch event that was held yesterday in China. The Meizu V8 and V8 Pro feature the trendy 18:9 aspect ratio screens and both the devices are loaded with modest specs.
Meizu V8 and Meizu V8 Pro Specs, Features and Pricing
The plastic-bodied Meizu V8 features a 5.7-inch IPS LCD screen that carries support for 720 x 1440 pixels. On the other side, the V8 Pro features a metallic body features the same-sized HD+ resolution supporting display.
The Meizu V8 is driven by MediaTek MT6739 chipset whereas the V8 Pro has slightly powerful Helio P22 SoC by MediaTek. The V8 includes 3,100mAh battery whereas the V8 Pro has a slightly bigger battery of 3,200mAh capacity.
A 13-megapixel rear camera is present on the Meizu V8 along with a front-facing camera of 5-megapixel. The V8 Pro has 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The selfie camera on both phones support face unlock. Also, both devices are also equipped with rear-mounted fingerprint scanners.
The Meizu V8 can be bought in White and Black colors whereas the V8 Pro can be purchased in Gold and Black colors. The V8 that features 32 GB of storage and 3 GB of RAM has a price tag of 799 Yuan ($115). The V8 Pro includes 64 GB of inbuilt storage and 4 GB of RAM and it is priced at 1,098 Yuan ($160). The pre-orders of the Meizu V8 and V8 Pro have started in China and these phones are poised to hit the market on Sept. 26.
