Qualcomm is rumored to soon launch its new midrange processor, the Snapdragon 660 SoC. It was recently spotted on AnTuTu benchmarks with a score of 105,576. Now, leaked photos of a mysterious smartphone have surfaced that is allegedly powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 660 chipset.
The mysterious device seems to have a display that supports quad HD resolution and it features 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB native storage. It is running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. The Snapdragon 660 SoC includes Adreno 512 graphics. It features a dual rear camera of 12-megapixel equipped with dual-LED flash.
As the identity of the device is not determined, it is speculated to be a test device from Qualcomm. It may not belong to any smartphone OEM. The SD 660 is a 14nm chip that features custom eight custom Kyro CPU cores. It has four cores clocking at 2.2 GHz and the other four cores working at 1.9 GHz along with Adreno 512 graphics. Its other features include X10 LTE modem, UFS 2.1 storage and 2 x LPDDR RAM.
It is expected to power the alleged Nokia 7 and 8 smartphones and also some phones from Vivo and OPPO. It is expected to debut around June this year.
