Nokia 2 Renders Leaked; Launch Imminent

HMD Global was expected to showcase the Nokia 2 entry-level smartphone at the Aug. 16 launch of Nokia 8. However, the Nokia 2 was not unveiled even though it has already been certified by Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the U.S. Well-known leakster, Evan Blass has released Nokia 2 renders.

As it can be seen in the above renders, the Nokia 2 would be coming two color options – black and silver. The handset does not seem to feature capacitive buttons as it features on-screen Android keys.

The handset is expected to house a 5-inch screen that will deliver a resolution of 720 x 1,270 pixels. It will be powered by Snapdragon 212 chipset and 1 GB of RAM. It will arrive preinstalled with Android 7.0 Nougat. It is expected to house a huge battery of 4,000mAh capacity. There is no fingerprint scanner on the device.

Some markets are expected to get the MediaTek edition of the smartphone. It will be coming in single-SIM and dual-SIM versions.

Its rear side is expected to feature an 8-megapixel camera and the frontside is rumored to be fitted with a 5-megapixel snapper. Plenty of details of the smartphone have already surfaced but there is no official information on its unveiling. The Nokia 3 handset is the cheapest handset from the company that is priced around $160. The Nokia 2 is expected to be cheaper than the Nokia 3.
