From the start of this year the rumor mill has been claiming the initial stock of Snapdragon 835 has been allotted to Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 flagship phones. Now that the South Korean tech giant has announced the much-hyped Galaxy S8 duo, other companies are also expected to debut their Snapdragon 835 driven flagship phones. OnePlus 5 is one of the flagship smartphones that is anticipated to be fueled by Snapdragon 835 chipset.
A Chinese source has revealed the leaked renders and specifications of the upcoming OnePlus 5 smartphone. The leaked photos suggest that the major portion of the front panel will be occupied by the display.
The OnePlus 5 is expected to arrive with a 5.5-inch screen that seems to sport super-slim bezels along with a high screen-to-body ratio. The screen appears to be slightly curved and the bottom bezels seems to house the capacitive buttons.
The Snapdragon 835 SoC of the OnePlus 5 is expected to be supported by 8 GB of RAM. Leaked photos suggest that the phone features a 23-megapixel dual rear camera arranged in a vertical manner. The source claims that the camera supports Optical Image Stabilization. The fingerprint scanner seems to be present below the rear camera module. It is pegged to house a 3,000 mAh battery with third generation Dash (fast) charging
Since OnePlus 3 was launched in June 2016, the OnePlus 5 is pegged to get unveiled in June this year.
