Earlier in this week, we had reported that the OnePlus CEO Liu Zouhu had confirmed on Weibo that 4,000 Yuan (`$602) pricing would be enough for the upcoming OnePlus 5T. However, a recent report by Tech Radar revealed that the OnePlus 5T may carry the same pricing as the OnePlus 5. However, a newer Weibo post from Zouhu suggests that OnePlus 5T would be arriving with an increased pricing.
In the Weibo post, Zouhu claims that the cost of the smartphone components has rose faster than the housing prices in Shenzhen. By this, Zouhu could be hinting that the OnePlus 5T will be arriving with costlier price tag.
The 64 GB and 128 GB storage models of the OnePlus 5T respectively feature 6 GB and 8 GB of RAM. These models are respectively priced at 2,999 Yuan (~$452) and 3,499 Yuan (~$527)
OnePlus is expected to include a new full screen display on the OnePlus 5T that will inevitably increase its pricing. Some rumors have also claimed that it may arrive with improved dual rear cameras and a larger battery. These improvements could cause the upcoming OnePlus flagship to arrive with a higher pricing.
Speculating on his previous Weibo post that hinted that 4,000 Yuan is sufficient for buying OnePlus 5T, it appears that its 6 GB RAM / 64 GB storage model may be priced at 2,999 Yuan to 3,499 Yuan (~$452 to ~$527) and its 8 GB RAM / 128 GB storage variant may cost around 3,499 Yuan to 4,000 Yuan (~$527 to ~$602).
