Realme Phone with 64MP Quad Camera to Debut on August 8

In June, Realme had released a camera sample taken from a mystery Realme phone with quad camera setup that included a 64-megapixel lens as the primary sensor. Even Chinese brand Redmi is gunning to launch its first 64-megapixel camera enabled smartphone in China. It appears that Realme will become the first brand to launch a 64-megapixel camera phone as it has today confirmed that it will be holding a launch event on Aug. 8 to announce it.

The above tweet by Realme India CEO confirms that the company will be holding a camera innovation event on Aug. 8 to announce a smartphone with 64-megapixel quad camera. He also claimed that company has many more surprises for the season. The above image also features a horizontal quad camera setup.

Realme has never launched a smartphone with triple camera setup. However, the company is taking a leap to launch a phone with four cameras. Probably, it could be the Realme 4 Pro smartphone. Last year, the Realme 3 was announced in August and the Realme 3 Pro will be launching in September. Hence, it appears that the arrival of the Realme 4 series could be close at hand.
