Samsung Galaxy A9 Star, A9 Star Lite Goes Official; Official Release Set on June 15

Samsung has launched the Galaxy A9 Star and Galaxy A9 Star Lite smartphones in China. These handsets are already available on pre-orders and they are expected to hit the market on June 15.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Star, A9 Star Lite Specifications and Features

Samsung Galaxy A9 Star and A9 Star Lite are the new A-series smartphones designed for the Chinese market. The A9 Star has 6.28-inch display while the A9 Star Lite has a 6-inch screen. Both the S-AMOLED Infinity Display totting smartphones support 18.5:9 aspect ratio and FHD+ resolution of 2240 x 1080 pixels.

The Galaxy A9 Star has Snapdragon 660 chipset, 4 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 64 GB. The dual camera setup includes a 24-megapixel primary sensor and a 16-megapixel secondary sensor. It has a selfie snapper of 24-megapixel. It is fitted with a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. The handset is packed with a 3,700mAh battery.

Galaxy A9 Star and Galaxy A9 Star Lite

The Galaxy A9 Star Lite is powered by Snapdragon 450 chipset, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage. It features a dual camera setup that includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. Like A9 Star, this smartphone features a 24-megpaixel selfie snapper. A 3,500mAh battery fuels the smartphone.

The Galaxy A9 Star has a price tag of 3,699 Yuan and the price of the A9 Star lite is 2,699 Yuan. The Galaxy A9 Star duo will be releasing in China on June 15. As of this writing, there is no information available on the other markets that will be receiving these phones.
