Samsung Galaxy J4 Appears on Geekbench

Codenames of several upcoming Samsung phones were revealed through the leaked Android 8.0 Oreo beta build for Galaxy Note 8. It is also included the unannounced Galaxy J4 smartphone. The very same smartphone seems to have appeared as SM-J400F on Geekbench.

According to the Geekbench listing, the smartphone is driven by Exynos 7570 chipset which also powers low-budget phones like Galaxy J3 (2017), Galaxy Xcover 4 and Galaxy J5 Prime (SM-G750F).

The SM-J400F is running on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo and the SoC is coupled with 2 GB of RAM. In single-core test, it has scored 623 and in multi-core test it has recorded a score of 1815. This shows that the performance of the smartphone could be similar or slightly better than the Galaxy J3 series phones and lower than Galaxy J5 phones.

Since the phone is running on the latest Android version, it may also bring along Samsung Experience 9.0 that is speculated to be available on the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones. There is no information available on the launch date of the Galaxy J4. Since it will be slotted between J3 and J5, it is likely to cost around 249 euros (~$313).
