Samsung Galaxy M1 Core appears on Geekbench with MediaTek MT6739

We’d already know that Samsung is currently prepping a pair of entry-level smartphones including the Galaxy A01 Core whose render was leaked yesterday, as well as the Galaxy M01 Core which was recently spotted on Wi-Fi Alliance listing.

Right now, the Samsung Galaxy M01 Core has made its appearance on Geekbench 4.2 along with some of its key specs. According to its listing, the Galaxy M1 Core will be powered by a budget MediaTek MT6739 SoC which delivers a single-core and multi-cores performance scores of 575 points and 1,654 points respectively.

Other than that, the device is also listed with 2GB RAM and will boot on the latest Android 10 OS. As such, it is obvious that the Galaxy M01 Core will be a further toned-down model of the Galaxy M01 which was launched in India earlier this month.

As a quick recap, the Galaxy M01 is priced at Rs.8,999 (US$119) in the Indian market. The device features a 5.71-inches HD+ Infinity-V LCD display which has a 5 megapixels selfie camera housed within the dewdrop-notch.

On the flip-side, the Galaxy M01 features a pill-shaped module which houses a pair of 13 megapixels main camera along with a 2 megapixels secondary shooter. This will be assisted by a LED flash located directly below the cameras.

Moving on, the Galaxy M01 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 439 SoC instead of the MediaTek MT6739 SoC found in the upcoming Galaxy M01 Core. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage in its memory department.

To keep its lights on, the device is fitted with a respectable 4,000mAh battery at the helm. As usual, it will run on Samsung’s One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 OS.
