Just a few days ago, we’d just seen a hands-on video on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 Active which shows the device in a rugged body flanked by metallic rims along its sides. Aside from the difference in material used to build its rear chassis, it is also noticeable that the Galaxy S8 Active comes with a flat display rather than having a curved one like the current Galaxy S8.
With most of the mysteries related to its physical appearance already solved, we’re now only left with its specs sheet to uncover. Courtesy to a user from Chinese Weibo, that too can be solved today after he allegedly posted a couple of leaked presentation slides which depicts the key specs of the upcoming Galaxy S8 Active.
According to the leaked slides, the Galaxy S8 Active is expected to come with a 5.8-inches Super AMOLED display with 2960 x 1440 pixel resolution which is insured with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5. The device runs on the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC which is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage space under the hood. Similar to the Galaxy S8, the S8 Active also features a 12 megapixel main snapper at the back that it paired with a 8 megapixel front-facing sensor for selfies.
One thing to note, the Galaxy S8 Active is powered by a larger 4,000mAh battery instead of the 3,000mAh plant found in the S8. As for other nitty-gritty bits of the specs, you can take a look at the presentation slides above to find out more as well. Currently, there is still no official words on when this handset will be made official.
