In his latest Weibo post, Black Shark’s CEO Wu Shimin hinted that the company’s upcoming Black Shark 2 Pro will deliver better performance compared to the newly announced Asus ROG Phone 2. This comments came directly after the ROG Phone 2 was announced in China yesterday.
According to Wu, even though both the Black Shark 2 Pro and ROG Phone 2 are driven by the same Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, but the former will come equipped with a unique liquid cooling system and software optimizations which allows it to maximize the performance of the chipset when gaming.
Indeed, what Wu claimed is true. We’d already seen from the Black Shark 2 the prowess of Black Shark’s multi-layer cooling system which is capable of keeping the device from overheating even when you’ve been gaming for a prolonged period under it’s Ludicrous Mode.
Last week, we’d also saw the benchmark result of the Black Shark 2 Pro from Geekbench which saw the device outperforming the ROG Phone 2 in both single and multi-cores tests by several percentage points.
Needless to say, it’ll be a tough decision between this two titans as each of them is marvelous in their own ways. Whatever it is, the Black Shark 2 Pro has been slated to be announced on July 30th later this month.

Who cares about few percentage points.
Black shark 2 doesn’t have 3.5mm headphone jack, 6000mAh battery, dual USB-C, etc.
It’s a 2nd option, not the top option.
