Upcoming iQOO Z1 will be able to support 144Hz screen refresh rate

After launching the iQOO Neo3 last month, the Chinese smartphone maker is now prepping another highly-anticipated smartphone known as the iQOO Z1 which will be announced on May 19th.

Prior to its launch, iQOO had already confirmed some of the device’s key specs including its underlying MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC. Moreover, the company had also revealed that the device will pack a 4,500mAh battery with 44W fast-charging capability as well.

Today, iQOO has taken another step forward by further confirming that the iQOO Z1 will be featuring an incredibly smooth 144Hz screen refresh rate as well. This means that the device will be having a higher refresh rate than the recently unveiled OPPO Ace2, or even the Xiaomi Black Shark 3.

In terms of design, the iQOO Z1 will not differ much from the current iQOO Neo3 based on the renders released by iQOO. At the front, the device will still be coming with a familiar hole-punched display to accommodate its single selfie camera.

On the flip-side, it will continue to feature a rectangular camera module which houses a triple-camera array which is likely to include a main camera, ultra-wide lens, as well as a macro or depth sensor.

According to a recent leak, the iQOO Z1 is expected to come with a starting price of 2,498 Yuan (US$352) for its 6GB+128GB base model.
