On July 23, Asus will be launching the ROG Phone II smartphone. It will be debuting the first ever phone with the newly unveiled Snapdragon 855+ chipset. Multiple smartphone manufacturers like Nubia, Realme, Redmi, and so on are expected to release Snapdragon 855+ later this year. However, another brand that will be soon launch a SD855+ is Xiaomi. It has confirmed today that Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro smartphone with SD855+ is scheduled to go official on July 30.
As of this writing, no details on the specs of the Black Shark 2 Pro smartphone is available yet. The name of the phone suggests that it will be an upgraded version of the Black Shark 2 gaming smartphone that was unveiled in March this year. The major upgrade could be mainly in the form of inclusion of Snapdragon 855+ that works at 2.95GHz to deliver better CPU and GPU performance. The SD855 that powers the Black Shark 2 phone works at 2.84GHz. Hopefully, details on the smartphone may appear before the July 30 launch date.

The Black Shark 2 smartphone features a 6.39-inch AMOLED display that offers full HD+ resolution. The SD855 SoC of the phone is coupled with up to 12 GB of RAM. It comes with a maximum internal storage space of 256 GB. The rear side of the phone features 48-mgeapixel + 12-megapixel dual camera setup. On its front is a 20-megapixel selfie camera. The handset houses a 4,000mAh battery that supports 27W fast charging. It is available in colors like Black, Silver and Blue in China.
