Earlier this week, Xiaomi held a launch event in Hong Kong where they official launched the highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi Max 2 in the country. Currently, the Mi Max 2 is available only in Gold however, Hong Kong will be the first country to be selling a new Matte Black version of the device.
Even though the Mi Max 2 comes in two different versions consisting of a 64GB model and a 128GB variant, but only the 64GB model will be sold in Hong Kong at a price of HKD1,899 ($243). Other than the difference in color, the rest of its specs remain the same as the current Gold version.
Just in case you’d missed out, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 comes with a 6.44″ FHD display which runs on a Snapdragon 625 SoC along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB/ 128GB internal storage space in its memory compartment. There will be a 12 megapixel main snapper at the back of the device, as well as a 5 megapixel front-camera for selfies. A hefty 5,300 mAh battery is also available to keep to device running for a long period of time.
For now, let’s wait for the Chinese company to make this device available to more markets outside of China and Hong Kong.
