Recent reports have revealed that Xiaomi will be launching the recently announced Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones in some markets like Europe as Xiaomi Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro. Since the past few days, Xiaomi has been teasing on the arrival of Xiaomi Mi 9T smartphone. It has now confirmed that the Mi 9T will be made official on June 12. However, there is no information on whether the company will be launching the Mi 9T Pro smartphone alongside it.
The Xiaomi Mi 9T is a rebranded version of the Redmi K20 smartphone. The Redmi K20 is fitted with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display along with an in-screen fingerprint reader. It supports full HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. There is a pop-up camera of 20-megapixel on the device for capturing selfie shots.
The Snapdragon 730 mobile platform fuels the smartphone along with up to 8 GB of RAM. The highest version of the phone comes with 256 GB of native storage. The handset lacks support for microSD card slot.
There is a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 13-megapixel triple camera setup on the back panel of the phone. It features a slightly inferior Sony IMX582 primary sensor than the Sony IMX586 48-megapixel main sensor found on the Redmi K20 Pro. There is a 4,000mAh battery to keep the lights on. It carries support for 18W rapid charging. The handset is loaded with Android 9 Pie OS that is customized with MIUI 10.
