Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 front panel allegedly leaked, reaffirming a tri-bezel design

Yesterday, we reported that Xiaomi has released a promotional poster for their upcoming Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 which revealed that the device will be coming with a tri-bezel display this time round. Earlier today, an alleged front panel of the Mi Mix 2 had also been leaked – reaffirming that the device will indeed be have an edge-to-edge display similar to the outline we’d seen the day before.

Of course, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 isn’t the only smartphone this year that has a tri-bezel design. The Essential Phone and the newly unveiled Sharp Aquos S2 are some other handsets which utilize the same design language as well. Good thing is that the bottom bezel on the upcoming Mi Mix 2 seemed to be slightly reduced, even though we would be more than happy to see it being removed completely.

From what we’d gathered so far, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be sporting a 6.4? QHD display which is powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC along with 6GB/ 8GB of RAM and 128GB/ 256GB internal storage space under the hood. Earlier reports also pointed out that the device is also purported to come with a 3D facial recognition technology on top of a fingerprint sensor. Software-wise, it is expected to run on Xiaomi’s own MIUI 9 on top of the Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
