The rumor mill has already guessed that the Xiaomi Mi 7 smartphone will be launch at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 event in the next month. However, fresh leaks suggest that the Chinese manufacturer is working on the launch of Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S. It is reportedly codenamed as Polaris and it is also rumored to debut at the MWC 2018.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is likely to sport an iPhone X-like notch that will be equipped with a facial recognition sensor. The Snapdragon 845 SoC along with 6 GB of RAM is likely to power the Mi 2S. It may house a dual camera setup featuring a 12-megpaixel RGB sensor and a 12-megapixel monochrome sensor. It is expected to carry a price tag of 3,000 Yuan (~$466).
In December 2017, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun had confirmed that its next flagship will be coming with Snapdragon 845. However, Xiaomi is unlikely to announce two Snapdragon 845 powered smartphones. Will Xiaomi unleash Mi MIX 2S at the MWC 2017 and debut the Mi 7 a bit later? Let us take this report with a pinch of salt and wait for more details to appear.

That notch is such a lazy approach.
