The Xiaomi Redmi 5A which is currently available in Gold, Rose Gold and Gray will now have a new Light Blue color option introduced to their lineup. If you can remember, this same color was first spotted on the Redmi Note 4X, and is introduced once again probably due to its success and high demand for this unique color option.

As a quick recap, the Redmi 5A comes with a 5-inches HD display which is powered by a entry-level Snapdragon 425 SoC along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage space. At the back of the device, there is also a 13 megapixel main snapper that is paired with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfie and video calls. A 3,000mAh non-removable battery is available to keep its lights on for a decent amount of time. Software-wise, the Redmi 5A runs on the MIUI9 atop the Android 7.1 Nougat.
Xiaomi Redmi 5A Pricing and Release Date
For those interested, the Light Blue Xiaomi Redmi 5A will go on sale in China starting November 24th this week and will come with the same price tag of just 599 Yuan ($90). Those residing outside of China will still be able to purchase this unit through various China-based online retailers like JG Global and GearBest, although it’ll cost slightly more than the retail price in China.
