Official: Samsung Galaxy A04s launched with Exynos 850 & 50MP triple cameras

Samsung has officially announced a new entry-level smartphone known as the Galaxy A04s in the European market which appears to be a successor to last year’s Galaxy A03s with some decent upgrades to it’s underlying chipset and camera system.

The new model builds around a 6.5” PLS LCD display which features a HD+ screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, as well as a 5 megapixels front-facing camera situated within it’s V-shaped notch to help with selfies and video calls.

Over on the back, there’ll be a trio of cameras that are stacked vertically atop one another. These cameras include a 50 megapixels main camera as well as a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information.

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A04s is powered by an octa-core chipset which clocks at 2.0GHz. Although Samsung didn’t reveal the actual model of the processor, but we’d already knew from past reports that the chipset is none other than the company’s in-house Exynos 850 chipset.

Keeping it’s lights on will be a large 5,000mAh battery which carries an unspecified charging speed (likely to be between 10W to 15W). Other than that, the phone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired earphones.

At launch, the Galaxy A04s is available in four different colors such as black, white, copper and green. Sad to say, the official pricing and availability of the phone has yet to be announced by the company.
