Yesterday, Xiaomi announced a piece of good news stating that the company has sold more than 350,000 units of Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphones within 5 minutes into its debut sale.
This time round, the Xiaomi Mi 11 is offered in both standard and bundled editions. The difference between them is that the bundled edition comes with an in-box 55W GaN charger, while the standard edition will not be coming with an in-box charger. Both editions will be available for purchase at the same price during the debut sale.
According to Xiaomi’s Vice President Lu Weibing, a total of 20,000 Xiaomi Mi 11smartphones were sold without a bundled charger. This of course means that the majority is still opting for an accompanying charger and the idea of omitting a bundled charger doesn’t really resonates well among consumers.
However, Xiaomi can still be taking it positively since there’s still a fraction of consumers who’re willing to sacrifice an in-box charger for environmental causes. Moreover, the statistics from their debut sales can possibly help to shape their sales and marketing decisions of the Mi 11 in the global markets as well as other upcoming Xiaomi devices.
As of now, there’s still no words on the official launch of the Xiaomi Mi 11 in the global market even though Xiaomi had already hinted that the launch will be imminent.
In related news, the higher-end Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro is said to be launched only after the Lunar New Year.
