Xiaomi has recently introduced a low-priced edition of the Mi 6 flagship phone with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. The company is rumored to debut two new budget phones before the Singles’ Day (Nov. 11). Fresh information suggests that the company will start teasing the alleged Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus phones in the next two days. Rumors have revealed that the full screen design will be the USP of these phones.
The Redmi 5 is expected to come with a 5.7-inch screen that will support HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,440 pixels. The Snapdragon 450 chipset is expected to power the phone along with 3 GB of RAM. It is expected to carry a pricing of 799 Yuan (~$120).
The Redmi 5 Plus is expected to carry better specs. It is rumored to feature a 5.99-inch display that will produce FHD+ resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels. It is likely to be driven by Snapdragon 625 chipset. Its dual camera system may include a 5-megapixel sensor and a 12-megapixel sensor. It is expected to arrive in variants like 3 GB RAM / 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM / 64 GB storage. These models are expected to carry respective price tags of 999 Yuan (~$150) and 1,299 Yuan (~$195).
