Since the start of this year, we’d already heard about the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 which is said to be currently in works along with the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi 5 Plus duo. Previously, we’d already heard that the Redmi Pro 2 is slated to come with a 18:9 widescreen display with FHD+ resolution and will be powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC onboard. Right now, there are finally some new information on this upcoming handset after being absence from the rumor mills for several months.
According to fresh reports out of China, the Redmi Pro 2 is touted to come with a dual-camera setup similar to the current Redmi Pro. This however, is unlike what was rumored earlier this year. Aside from that, the report also mentioned that this upcoming handset will has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor – another similarity as the current Redmi Pro. That being said, these are just the typical features which we saw on most of the Xiaomi smartphones in their current lineup so it there isn’t anything unique here.
From what we knew so far, the Redmi Pro 2 is expected to arrives in two different models including a base model with 4GB+64GB memory configuration as well as a higher-end version with a whopping 6GB+128GB memory setup. Bear in mind, these are just rumored specifications of the device which we’d gathered from past reports so do take them with just a pinch of salt!
