Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus smartphone and they are slated to go on sale starting from next Tuesday. The AnTuTu scores of both the smartphones to reveal their performance prowess.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 that is powered by Snapdragon 450 chipset has scored 55,472 average score on AnTuTu. This score suggests that the handset is capable of smoothly running casual games. The Snapdragon 450 is a 14nm octa-core processor that delivers a clocking speed of up to 1.8 GHz. It also includes Adreno 506 graphics. The only other phone that is driven by the Snapdragon 450 is the Vivo V7+

Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus AnTuTu

On the other side, the Snapdragon 625 powered Redmi 5 Plus has recoded an average score of 61,122 on the benchmarking platform. The SD 625 chipset includes 2.0 GHz octa-core processor and Adreno 506 graphics.

The Redmi 5 duo are the first budget-friendly full screen smartphones from Xiaomi. The Redmi 5 has HD+ screen of 5.7 inches whereas the Redmi 5 Plus has FHD+ screen of 5.99 inches. These phones are preinstalled on MIUI 9. Both the smartphones include 12-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing camera of 5-megapixel. The Redmi 5 has 3,300mAh battery whereas its larger sibling features a massive battery of 4,000mAh capacity.
