Just like last year, HMD Global has used the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 platform to announce new smartphones. The Nokia 8 Sirocco and Nokia 7 Plus are the two advanced specced smartphone from the company. Moreover, both phones have been announced as Android One devices.
Nokia 8 Sirocco Specs, Features and Pricing
Nokia 8 Sirocco has glass panels on its front and rear sides with a durable steel frame in between. It features a Quad HD resolution supporting display of 5.5 inches that supports conventional aspect ratio of 16:9. The Snapdragon 835 chipset and 6 GB of RAM fires the handset. It includes UFS 2.1 native storage of 128 GB. It is equipped with 3,260mAh battery enabled QC 3.0
The Nokia 8 Sirocco back panel features a ZEISS dual camera setup that includes a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 13-megapixel telephoto lens. It has a selfie camera of 5-megapixel. It is running on stock edition of Android 8.0 Oreo. HMD Global has confirmed that the Nokia 8 Sirocco will be blessed with Android P later this year. It carries a hefty price tag of 749 euros and it will be available for buying in April.
Nokia 7 Plus Specifications, Features and Pricing
Nokia 7 Plus is the Android One phone that was unveiled at MWC 2018 by HMD Global. It sports a design that is similar to the original Nokia 7. However, the glass and metal body of the Nokia 7, the Plus edition comes with 6000-series aluminum body. It is the first 18:9 aspect ratio supporting Nokia phone. It supports FHD+ resolution on its 6-inch IPS LCD display.
The Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 4 GB of RAM powers the Nokia 7 Plus. It has a native storage of 64 GB. The handset is loaded with stock edition of Android 8.0 Oreo. Its rear-mounted dual camera setup includes a 12-megapixel and a 13-megapixel sensor. It has a selfie camera of 16-megpixel. The handset is fueled by a 3,800mAh battery with fast charging capabilities. It carries a pricing of 399 euros is expected to be available in April in color choices like Copper Black and Copper White.
