Rumors have it that Xiaomi may debut a new budget phone called Redmi S2 as early as next month. A Czech Republic based the blog has shared multiple images of the phone. A hands-on video of the phone has also appeared. Another leaked photo has revealed the pricing of the phone for Vietnam.
As it can be seen in the above images, the Redmi S2 resembles the Mi 6X as it features vertical dual rear cameras, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and antenna bands at the top and bottom edges of the back panel. The frontside of the Redmi S2 is occupied by an 18:9 aspect ratio display. Since the Redmi S2 has appeared in Czech Republic, it appears that European markets will be receiving the phone. The hands-on video of the Redmi S2 that is shown below reveals its complete design.
The above image shows that the Redmi S2 will be also releasing in Vietnam. Vietnam Dong retailer site has listed it for VND 3,999.00 which equates to ~$176. Previous reports have revealed that Xiaomi will be also releasing the Redmi S2 in China and India.
Now that plenty information on the Xiaomi Redmi S2 has appeared from multiple sources, its launch could be close at hand. It is speculated that the Redmi S2 may get official in the coming month.
