Since the Oppo and Vivo smartphone brands that belong to China’s BBK Electronics had entered India, their smartphones were aggressively marketed offline. On the other side, Xiaomi has went to become the largest smartphone brand in India through its online sales. Oppo has now confirmed that it will be introducing a new sub-brand called Realme. The smartphones releasing under the Realme branding will be exclusively available for purchase online. Oppo has a landing page for an upcoming Realme phone on Amazon India. It reveals that Oppo will be launching Realme 1 phone on May 15 in India.
Nothing has been revealed on the specs of the Realme 1 phone. However, the landing page on the retailer site has a rearview image of an unknown smartphone. The image shows that the backside of the Realme 1 phone has Diamond Black design which looks very similar to the back panel of the Oppo A3 phone that was launched in China recently.

Hence, it seems that the Oppo A3 that features an iPhone X like notched display may debut as Realme 1 in India on May 15. The Realme branded phones are expected to be priced between Rs. 8,000 (~$120) and Rs. 15,000 (~$225) in the country.
