South Korean manufacturing giant, LG, is expected to hold a press briefing at IFA in a few days. However, the company has announced two new smartphones, one of which is an Android One device. Today, LG announced LG G7 One and LG G7 Fit. These smartphones are quite similar to LG G7 ThinQ but there are some significant differences. As of now, there is no information on the price and availability of these devices but we expect the company will unveil more at the upcoming IFA conference.
LG G7 One
There is an increasing popularity of Android One devices and LG has just joined the bandwagon with the LG G7 One. This smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It is also equipped with a 6.1-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440 pixels) FullVision Super Bright IPS Display with a notch and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. In the camera department, this smartphone comes with a single 16MP rear camera with f/1.6 aperture, 71-degree wide-angle lens, and LED flash. This is supported by an 8MP front-facing camera. For the first time, LG used Android One in its smartphone which is a major selling point of this device. It also ships with a fingerprint sensor and a 3000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.
LG G7 Fit
As for the LG G7 Fit, it is powered by an older Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It also uses a 6.1-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440 pixels) FullVision Super Bright IPS Display with a notch and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. In the camera department, this smartphone comes with a single 16MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, 76-degree wide-angle lens, and LED flash. This is supported by an 8MP front-facing camera with 80-degree wide-angle lens, f/1.9 aperture. It runs on LU UX on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo) and it arrives with a fingerprint sensor and a 3000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.
Both smartphones are identical in many ways apart from a few details like the processor, operating system, and their names. Generally, we will expect the LG G7 One to be cheap (comparatively) but LG phones are usually not cheap. Thus don’t get your hopes too high.
