Samsung Galaxy M2 Geekbench Appears, Launch Could be Drawing Close

Samsung is reportedly working on the new Galaxy M-series of smartphones. Recent leaks have revealed that the SM-M205F and SM-M305F are the two upcoming M-series phones from the company. The M-series is expected to arrive as a replacement for the Galaxy J, Galaxy On and Galaxy C midrange phones. The SM-M205F smartphone has appeared on Geekbench with some of its key specifications.

The above shown snapshot of the SM-M205F’s Geekbench listing reveals that it is powered by the Exynos 705 that also fuels other phones such as Galaxy A7 (2018) and Galaxy A8 (2018) from Samsung. The SoC is supported by 3 GB of RAM. The smartphone is preinstalled with Android 8.1 Oreo OS.

Rumors surrounding the SM-M205F have revealed that it will be arriving in 32 GB and 64 GB storage sizes. These variants may respectively include 3 GB and 4 GB of RAM. On the other hand, the SM-M305F may feature 64 GB and 128 GB of storage. These variants may respectively come with 4 GB and 6 GB of RAM.

Previous reports have claimed that Samsung has trademarked M20, M30, M40 and M50 monikers. Hence, it is speculated that the recently spotted SM-M205F and SM-M305F could be called Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30. However, various tech publications are now referring to these phones as Galaxy M2 and Galaxy M3.
