Xiaomi seems to be working on a gaming phone. The Chinese manufacturer has already released Black Shark and Black Shark Helo gaming phones last year. Now, a device named Black Shark Skywalker has appeared on Geekbench. The listing reveals that it is powered by the Snapdragon 855 chipset.
On Geekbench, the never before spotted Black Shark Skywalker smartphone has appeared with “msmnile” chipset. Since “msmnile” is the codenamed of Snapdragon 855 chipset, it appears that the Black Shark Skywalker will be powered by the all new 7nmm Qualcomm chipset.
The Snapdragon 855 chipset of the Black Shark Skywalker is assisted by 8 GB of RAM. In the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench, the Black Shark Skywalker has respectively scored 3,494 and 11,149 points. The benchmarking scores are impressive and similar to the other Geekbench listings of Snapdragon 855 powered phones.
Snapdragon 855 driven phones that will carry support for 5G connectivity this year will include X50 LTE modem. However, handsets fueled by the same chipset without 5G connectivity are likely to feature the X24 LTE modem. It remains to be seen whether the Xiaomi Black Shark Skywalker will be equipped with 5G connectivity.
There is no information on the launch timeframe of the Black Shark Skywalker. Probably, it may go official in the next few months.
