With the surprise launch of the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT in December 2018, Lenovo became the first company to sell the first Snapdragon 855 powered smartphone. After being out of race for quite some time, Lenovo entered the smartphone market by launching around 13 phones last year. This year the company may rival with bigger brands in the industry. The company is now gearing up for an early start for the year 2019 as Lenovo Group VP Chang Cheng has confirmed that the Lenovo Z6 Pro phone will go official at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 today.
The below shown launch poster only confirms the name of the device that the company will be announcing at MWC 2019. There is no information available on the specifications of the phone. The ripples shown on the poster suggests that the phone may carry support for in-screen fingerprint scanner.
The Lenovo Z6 Pro will be arriving as the successor for the Lenovo Z5 Pro slider design phone that was announced in November 2018. The Z5 Pro featured a notch-less 6.39-inch S-AMOLED notch-less display, Snapdragon 710 chipset, 6 GB of RAM, 64 GB / 128 GB storage models, 16-megapixel + 24-megapixel dual rear cameras, mechanical pop-up 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual front-facing cameras, in-display fingerprint reader and 18W fast charging enabled 3,350mAh battery.
