More than 100,000 Honor 9X were Sold Within 2 Minutes

Today, the highly anticipated Honor 9X finally goes on sale in the Chinese market, a week after it was officially announced in China.

Unsurprisingly, the device was selling like hot cakes the moment it’s debut sales commenced. According to Honor, the Honor 9X has generated over 200 million Yuan (US$29 million) in revenue within 2 minutes. If you do the math, this equates to more 100,000 units sold within the short span of time, given that the most expensive model cost 1899 Yuan (US$276).

Honor 9X Sales Report

Currently, the pricing for the Honor 9X is as follows:

  • 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM: 1399 Yuan (US$203)
  • 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM: 1599 Yuan (US$232)
  • 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM: 1899 Yuan (US$276)

Compared to the Honor 8X, the first 2 minutes of Honor 9X’s debut sale saw a 200% increase in sales revenue – which crown it as the fastest selling smartphone in the entire “X” series so far. For now, we’re excited to see if the Honor 9X series is able to surpass the 2 million sales mark achieved by the Huawei Nova 5 series a month after it made its debut.

Although the Honor 9X had already went on sale today, but the Honor 9X Pro will only be up for grabs on August 9th next month.
