During the official announcement of EMUI 10 yesterday, Huawei has confirmed that both the Huawei P30 and Mate 20 series will be eligible for the EMUI 10 Beta update.
For the P30 series, it will be up-gradable to EMUI 10 starting from September 8th next month. As for the Mate 20 series, there is still no official timeline on when the Beta update will be rolled out to devices which include Mate 20, Mate 20 X, Mate 20 RS and Mate 20 Pro.
The update schedule announced is likely to be applicable only for the Chinese market and we believe that the global version should receive it at a slightly later date (if they do release for the global variants).
According to Huawei, the upcoming Mate 30 series will be the first to debut with the EMUI 10 out of the box. Since EMUI 10 is an Android Q-based firmware, we presume that the Mate 30 series will also be shipped with Android Q.
In case you’d missed out, some of the key features which will arrive with EMUI 10 include a refreshed user interface, an exhilarating dark mode, snappier performance, multi-screen collaboration, Huawei’s HiCar and many more.
