Honor will be launching the Honor 20S smartphone in China at 7 PM (local time) today. Through a poster, Honor has confirmed that it will be also launching Honor Play 3 series today. The Chinese firm has not revealed the exact name of the device from the Play 3 series that will go official today. Some speculations have claimed that it could be announcing the ASK-AL00x / TL00x phone that was recently certified as Honor Play 3i.
The above poster only confirms that the Honor Play 3 series will be announced today. The Honor Play was a gaming-centric Kirin 970 powered flagship device. So, the Honor Play 3 is also expected to come with Kirin 980 onboard. However, the ASK-AL00x / TL00x that had recently appeared on TENAA is packed with mid-range specs.
The Honor Play 3i is expected to come with a 6.39-inch punch-hole display with HD+ resolution. The Kirin 710 may power the smartphone. It may come in variants such 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. The Android 9 Pie OS runs on the device. The 48-megapixel + 8-mgeapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera and 8-megapixel front-facing camera could be available on the device for photography. It could be housing a 4,000mAh battery. Unfortunately, it seems to lack a fingerprint reader.
