In July, Xiaomi had launched its Mi CC9 sub-brand by introducing three phones such as Mi CC9e, Mi CC9 and Mi CC9 Meitu Custom Edition. Recent reports have suggested that Xiaomi could be soon announcing a more advanced smartphone called Mi CC9 Pro in China. It appears that Xiaomi’s Product Director Wang Teng Thomas may just teased the device’s arrival.
On Weibo, Thomas has said he can’t help but start warming up on the upcoming product. The smartphone will be differently positioned and may arrive with costlier price tag. Redmi is launching the Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A smartphones in China today. However, these are just entry-level devices. The rumored Mi CC9 Pro will be probably towards selfie lovers and female audience. Hence, it appears that Thomas could be talking about the Mi CC9 Pro.
At present, very less information on the Mi CC9 Pro are available. It is speculated that the smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 730G processor. For photography, it could be equipped with 100-megapixel camera by Samsung. It is the same camera sensor that is available on the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha super flagship phone.
Xiaomi is also rumored to be working on a new smartwatch. Hence, it remains to be seen whether Thomas could be teasing the arrival of Mi CC9 Pro or the first Xiaomi branded smartwatch.
