The OPPO Reno S is one of the upcoming smartphones from the company. The first news about its existence had surfaced in October. Since then, the rumor mill has not revealed any new information on its arrival. Today, the Reno S moniker was spotted on a certification platform in Indonesia. The new certification reveals that the launch date of the smartphone is drawing near.
The Reno S certification in Indonesia has revealed that it has a model number of CPH2015. The same model number was spotted on the database of other certification bodies like Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). These approvals suggest that the launch date of the Reno S could be drawing near.
Past reports have revealed that the Reno S is fueled by Snapdragon 855+ chipset. The exact battery size was not known, but the phone is expected to come with support for SuperVOOC 2.0 65W fast charging. The phone is expected to come with 64-megapixel quad rear cameras. The Reno Ace that arrived in October in China had all the aforementioned features, but it is equipped with 48-megapixel quad rear cameras.
The OPPO Reno S is likely to go official in early 2020. Hopefully, more details on the phone will appear in the coming weeks.
