Realme India’s CEO Madhav Sheth has announced through his latest tweet that the company had shipped more than 5.5 million Realme 5 series smartphones in 2019.
This staggering figure comprised of the total sales volume of the Realme 5, Realme 5s, as well as Realme 5 Pro in 2019. However, it do not include the Realme 5i which was announced in Vietnam recently.
Although the sales figure of Realme 5 series smartphones may be slightly underwhelming as compared to that for Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 8 series smartphones, but its still pretty impressive keeping in mind that the company is barely two years old.
Since it’s genesis back in May 2018, Realme has been growing tremendously across the globe, and already has more than 17 million users as of October 2019.
Initially, Realme started out as a budget smartphones provider offering affordable and value-for-money smartphones. However, the company had also broke into the upper mid-ranger segment in recent months with the introduction Realme XT and Realme X2 Pro.
Today, Realme will also make their first step into the 5G mobile market with their latest Realme X50 5G smartphone which is set for unveiling later today.
